Wendy A. Lewis is the award-winning author of seven books for young people, including Graveyard Girl, Cheetah and Freefall. In 2008, Wendy was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis that was compounded by anxiety and depression. For a few difficult years, her writing fell into what she calls a “medically-induced dry spell,” but her experiences in clinical trials for MS medications and the Wahls Protocol (healing nutrition) gave her ideas for a memoir. One day she picked up her pen and wrote a few words, then a few more, and found that the process of writing was healing too. Wendy still loves children’s literature, but has a new passion for writing creative non-fiction.
